Putra Mosque in Putrajaya (Malaysia) online puzzle
Putrajaya is a city located in the south-west of the Malay Peninsula. It is a young but rapidly growing city, which was planned to serve the function of an administrative center of the country. The idea to relieve the overcrowded and congested capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, was put forward in the 1980’s, and ten years later the plan was implemented. The seat of government was shifted from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya, for which detailed urban planning was designed. A number of public utility buildings were constructed, but the most impressive is the Putra Mosque. Due to the fact that Putrajaya is inhabited mostly by the Muslims, the temple was built as one of the first buildings. The royal palace and Parliament are still situated in Kuala Lumpur, but taking into consideration the fact that almost all ministries are situated in Putrajaya, the city is a real center of Malaysia.
