Levanto is a small Italian town on the Ligurian coast. The place is frequently visited by tourists due to its long, sandy beaches, charming old town, atmospheric pubs and restaurants, as well as festivals organized in Levanto. The settlement has a well-preserved thirteenth-century castle and several historic churches, including the church of St. Andrew – its façade and the bell tower are covered by horizontal bands of marble in contrasting colors – white and dark green.
