Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic located on the river Vltava. The Old Town, which can be reached by the famous Charles Bridge and the 14th-century Old Town bridge tower, lies on the right bank of the river. The baroque church of St Francis of Assisi with its characteristic dome is located nearby. The Old Town of Prague is full of historic monuments and tourist attractions. The Old Town Square is considered to be the heart of the Old Town. There is the statue of Jan Hus and the city hall, the tower of which is decorated with a clock known as the Prague Orloj. Within the capital's Old Town there is also the classicist Estates Theatre, Charles University and numerous buildings of religious architecture.
