Dom Luís I Bridge in Porto (Portugal) online puzzle
Porto is a large Portuguese city situated on the Douro River, flowing at this point to the Atlantic Ocean. The famous nineteenth-century double-decked Dom Luís I Bridge is one of the bridges spanning the two banks of the river. The name of this unique structure refers to the king of Portugal, Luís I. The 385-meter bridge carries lanes for cars, a subway line and sidewalks for pedestrians. Dom Luís I Bridge connects the historical part of Porto with the city of Vila Nova de Gaia. The bridge with a characteristic arch, where the second deck is situated, is the landmark of Porto.
