Würzburg (Germany) online puzzle
Würzburg is a German city that lies in the Bavarian administrative district of Lower Franconia on both sides of the river Main. This academic center was once a Celtic settlement. The panorama of Würzburg is dominated by the twin-tower cathedral of St. Kilian from the twelfth century, whereas the Baroque bishop’s palace designed by Balthasar Neumann is the most valuable historic monument of the city. Among the landmarks of Würzburg it is also a must to mention the sixteenth-century Old Main Bridge (German: Alte Mainbrücke) decorated with statues of saints and the Gothic church known as Marienkapelle. Würzburg is famous for its medieval Mairenberg castle and excellent Franconian wine.
