Waterworks fountain at Wismar market (Germany) online puzzle
Wismar is a Hanseatic city on the Baltic Sea in Germany. In the south-eastern part of the market there is a beautiful historic waterworks fountain known as Wasserkunst. It was designed by Dutch architect Philip Brandin and opened for the public in 1602 as the main water supply. The waterworks represent the style of the Dutch Renaissance and its shape resembles a miniature building topped with a copper dome. In 1861 the Wasserkunst was rebuilt and the wooden pipes were replaced with cast iron ones.
