Loreto Aprutino is a small town situated in the central-eastern part of Italy, built on the slopes of the hill dominating the area. The characteristic location of the town is the result of its history – Loreto Aprutino was established around the year 1000 and developed around the Benedictine abbey, which was built at the very top of the hill. Over time, more and more stone houses and residences were built as the town grew to its present size. The houses built on the hill make a big impression, however, getting around the steep streets of the town requires a high level of physical fitness.
