Nan Lian Garden in Hong Kong (China) online puzzle
Nan Lian is a traditional Chinese garden situated in Hong Kong. It was opened in 2006 as a collaborative enterprise of the monks from the Chi Lin Nunnery and the city’s authorities. The nunnery has existed here since 1934, however, in the 1990’s it was reconstructed in accordance with the Tang Dynasty style, which ruled in China between the 7th and 10th centuries. During the process of construction only historic techniques were uses. The nunnery buildings were built of timber without the use of any nails, particular elements are connected with the use of specially carved balks. It is the only architectonic complex of that type in Hong Kong. The nunnery is surrounded by a beautiful garden, covering the area of 3.5 hectares, which is full of hills, watercourses and ponds, decorative trees and picturesque landscape architecture.
