Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and the main industrial center of the country. Nevertheless, tourists know the city primarily from the beautiful colorful old town, which has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1996. Its narrow streets, which climb steeply upwards, and then again lead downwards, are a perfect place for long walks. The tenement houses with colorful facades standing along them, often lined with patterned ceramic tiles, add charm to the city and constitute its unique character. No wonder that more and more people come to Porto, wanting to see the eclectic architecture of this city.
