Oberbaum Bridge in Berlin (Germany) online puzzle
The Oberbaum bridge in Berlin connects the two banks of the River Spree, where the districts of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain are situated. These districts were separated after World War II by the Berlin Wall and after its fall the bridge became a symbol of the reunification of Germany. The monumental construction was erected in the years 1894 - 1896 on the site of an old wooden bridge, which was no longer able to meet the needs of the ever-expanding city. There are two communication decks on the bridge – on the lower there is a road for cars and pedestrians, while the upper one carries a suburban U-Bahn railway line.
