Nanpu Bridge in Shanghai (China) online puzzle
The Nanpu is a cable-stayed bridge located in Shanghai on the Huangpu River. It was opened to the public in 1991 – at that time the Nanpu was the longest bridge in China. The spiral entrance on the west side of the bridge is its most distinctive architectural element. The spiral entrance solved the problem of lack of space in the vicinity of the bridge, which is dominated by dense urban development. The construction of the bridge has significantly contributed to the development of the Pudong district on the eastern bank of the river Huangpu. Illuminated spiral bridge approach looks particularly beautifully after dark.
