Samson's fountain in České Budějovice (Czech Republic) online puzzle
České Budějovice lies in the southern part of the Czech Republic on the Vltava River. Tourists are attracted mainly by the local Budweiser brewery and the charming Old Town with well-preserved historic buildings. The large Ottokar II Square is the heart of Budějovice. The square is one of the largest in Europe and is surrounded by colorful tenement houses, with the baroque Samson Fountain in its central point. A large, octagonal pool is the base of the fountain. In addition to the sculpture of Samson, four figures of Atlas are also worth noting. The fountain was built in 1727, however, the original figures were replaced with copies in 1990.
