Saint Nicolas Church in Prague (Czech Republic) online puzzle
Saint Nicolas church in Prague is maintained in the Baroque style. Originally it was the parish church of the town of Mala Strana, erected on this place in the 13th century. Towards the end of 16th century the temple was taken over by the Jesuits, who bought neighboring houses and created a monastery unit at their place. In 1773 the Jesuits order was liquidated and Saint Nicolas church once again became the Mala Strana parish church. Inside of the large church there are many impressive frescos depicting life and miracles of the patron and the Holy Trinity, as well as a rare organ from 1746. Thanks to exceptional acoustics Saint Nicolas church is the place where many concerts are organized. The concerts have become a tradition originating in the 18th century, when Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was playing here.
