Pont Alexandre III (France) online puzzle
Pont Alexandre III is one of the landmarks of Paris. It is the bridge named in honor of Russian Czar Alexander III and commemorates the conclusion of the Franco-Russian alliance in 1892. The construction of the bridge was completed in 1900. Both ends of the crossing are crowned with pairs of pylons with gilded figures of horsemen. The historic bridge, decorated with numerous statues, gold details, reliefs and Art Nouveau lamps, was the setting of many movies, TV series and music videos. The bridge offers a view of the Les Invalides complex on the left bank of the river Seine, which includes the National Residence of the Invalids and the eighteenth-century church of the Invalids with a gilded dome.
