Champ de Mars between the legs of Eiffel Tower in Paris (France) online puzzle
The Eiffel Tower is located at the north-west of the Champ de Mars. It is a vast park in the centre of Paris, the name of which derives from the Roman Campus Martius (the Field of Mars) – the place where military drill used to be conducted. Mars – the god of war – motivated also the actions of Luis XV, who ordered to build a military school nearby. In 1889 the world exhibition was organized there and the Eiffel Tower was built as the remembrance of that event. It has been estimated that the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars have been visited by over 200 million people from all over the world to this day.
