Krakovec Castle (Czech Republic) online puzzle
Krakovec castle was built in the fourteenth century during the reign of Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia. The castle towers over the place where the Šípského and Cracow streams flow into the river Javornice, several kilometers from the town of Rakovnik. It is an example of a structure in which residential and defensive functions are combined. Jan Hus stayed in the town of Krakovec in the years 1413-1414. The castle was rebuilt several times and after the fire in 1783 it started falling into disrepair. Only remnants of old buildings, which can be reached by a wooden bridge, have been preserved until today.
