Porto Cristo is a picturesque town located on the island of Mallorca. Initially, there was only a fishing village that received its present name in 1260. Since the 20th century the town has been a popular tourist destination, however, Porto Cristo is still a charming seaside village. Ancient buildings with characteristic terraces from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries remind of the past of this place. Next to the Old Town there is a clean, sandy beach with a gentle access to the sea. There are also underground cave complexes that can be visited, as well as several walking and scenic routes.
