Bogliasco is a small town located in the north of Italy on the coast of the Ligurian Sea. Its history dates back to the times of the ancient Romans, who set up here a transit port for the imperial army. After the fall of the Western Roman Empire the town was conquered by Byzantium, and since the 12th century it has been the part of the Italian state. The rich history of the town is reflected in its architecture – tourists may admire beautiful churches from various periods, built in accordance with various architectonic styles, medieval stone bridge and colorful tenement houses that straggle along steep streets.
