Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, it lies in the northern part of the country at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. The city's history dates back over 7000 years and the first traces of the human settlement in this area date back to the Paleolithic. A walk through the city reveals traces of a long and complicated history of the place and tourists may feel the influences of various cultures.
