Church of Our Lady in Prague (Czech Republic) online puzzle
Prague is the capital and the largest city of the Czech Republic, full of historic buildings situated particularly in its historic center. The Church of Our Lady in front of Tyn is a dominant feature of the Old Town. This Gothic temple is visible from afar due to its two pointed towers. Its construction begun as early as in the 16th century, however, in result of the Hussite Wars the temple was completed only during the reign of George of Kunštát and Poděbrady. Behind the church there is a cul-de-sac called Tyn, hence the name of the temple (Czech: Týnský chrám). In the church there is a 14th-century relief depicting the Crucifixion. There are also the tombs of the astronomer Tycho Brahe and archbishop Jan Rokycany. Tourists visiting the Old Town Square in Prague may also admire the Old Town Hall and Church of Saint Nicolas.
