Blue Mosque in Istanbul (Turkey) online puzzle
Blue Mosque in Istanbul was built by order of Sultan Ahmed I. This 17th-century impressive edifice is surrounded by smaller objects, including six minarets, i.e. high towers that are traditionally erected near mosques. There is a midha on the splendid courtyard of the mosque – it is a kind of a fountain used by worshippers for ritual washing before they pray. The Blue Mosque owes its name to beautiful tiles, which decorate its interior. The temple is still used for prayers and visitors are obliged to wear proper clothes.
