Rocky beaches are not as popular as sandy ones. Wandering along such beaches requires special footwear, while sunbathing we need a proper foam pad and children – due to the lack of a fine, yellow sand – will not spend a few carefree hours on building sand castles. However, rocky beaches have their own unique charm as well – water is less muddy and therefore cleaner, which creates ideal conditions for diving and taking underwater pictures. Croatia is the country in which beautiful beaches are primarily rocky. When such beaches are washed by waves it is easier to notice small colorful pebbles that shimmer nicely in the sun. While walking along the seashore you may take the most beautiful pebble as a souvenir.
