Corsica is an island located in the Mediterranean Sea full of enchanting nature and culture. Its coastline is very diverse – apart from sandy beaches there are stony coasts, and on the southern edges of the island there are high limestone cliffs. In the 11th century a fortress was erected on the rocky cliff and it was named Bonifacio in honor of the ruler Boniface II of Tuscany. The town attracts tourists with its unique atmosphere, steep streets and stone buildings, as well as an amazing view from the cliffs. On clear days tourists can observe the neighboring island – Sardinia.
