The Yoho National Park is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains in southeastern British Columbia. The park was founded in 1886, whereas its name refers to the word from the native language of the Cree tribe, which expressed awe or wonder. Among the biggest tourist attractions of Yoho are 381-meter Takakkaw Falls, the river Kicking Horse, which carved a natural bridge through solid rock and Emerald Lake. The highest peak located in the park is Mount Goodsir, rising 3,567 meters above sea level.
