Fez is one of the cities in Morocco, established in 8th century as the first capital of the country. Fez is picturesquely located in the mountain valley. There are many interesting objects in the city, among others: old medina quarter, mosques (Al-Karawijjin and the Andalusian one), synagogue, madrasah, ruins of the tombs of the Marinid dynasty, the royal palace that is not accessible for tourists and the system of old fortifications with large gates.
