Melbourne is the second largest city of Australia. It lies at the mouth of the Yarra River to Port Phillip Bay. Southbank is one of the most densely populated districts of the city, it is the commercial and business center of Melbourne. There are numerous skyscrapers, among which are both office buildings belonging to international corporations, as well as residential skyscrapers. The highest building of Melbourne is the 297-meter Eureka Tower. Along the river there is a promenade designed by an international architecture practice Denton Corker Marshall. A characteristic footbridge built in 1992 is also one of Southbank's landmarks.
