The Yarra is a large river flowing through the state of Victoria located in the south-east of Australia. It is distinguished by its specific color due to the fact that the closer to the bottom, the clearer the water. For that reason the Yarra is sometimes called the "upside down river". The river is 242 kilometers long and flows into Port Phillip Bay. The Yarra flows also through Melbourne – the largest city of the state. Along the river there is a pedestrian promenade from which tourists may admire the panorama of the city, many pubs adjoin the promenade.
