Defensive walls of Sibiu (Romania) online puzzle
Sibiu is a town located in central Romania, founded in the late 12th century by the Saxon colonists. This medieval fortified town was erected on a hill on the right bank of the Cibin River. The settlement was surrounded by brick walls with towers. Some of these fortifications have survived to this day. Turnul Dulgherilor din Sibiu, i.e. the Cooper’s Tower, is one of the symbols of Sibiu that closes the walls from the south-west. It was built of bricks and stone in the fourteenth century. The tower was designed in the shape of a circle, however, the top of the tower is octagonal.
