Tours is a French city on the river Loire in the department of Indre-et-Loire. Tours has been the center of St. Martin’s cult since the fifth century. The Gothic cathedral of Saint Gatien is its landmark. When visiting Tours it is also worth seeing the basilica of St. Martin, the Bishop's Palace, Charles Tower and the house where Leonardo da Vinci lived. The two banks of the river are spanned by the eighteenth-century stone bridge – Pont Wilson. The bridge consists of fifteen arches, it is 434 meters long and 21 meters wide. It was named in honor of Woodrow Wilson, the president of the United States.
