Câmara de Lobos on Madeira (Portugal) online puzzle
Câmara de Lobos is the second largest town on the Portuguese island of Madeira in the Atlantic Ocean. Its name refers to seals and sea lions, which had their lairs beneath the rocky cliffs of the coast. It is situated in a picturesque bay at the foot of the Cabo Girao cliff. Winston Churchill was frequently sitting on the terrace of one of the restaurants in Câmara de Lobos, where he was painting landscapes. Apart from a pebble beach, this charming port town is known for narrow streets, white houses with red roofs and fishing nets drying in the sun.
