Night view of the canal in Bruges (Belgium) online puzzle
When we think of canals – a dense network intersecting the quarters of the city, we quite often have Venice in front of our eyes. The place has been made famous in literature and art as a romantic city of lovers. However, it should be noted that most towns of that kind are located in the Benelux countries - mainly in Belgium and the Netherlands. The network of canals in these countries is much better developed and is used for transport and commercial purposes to this day. Merchants from the north adapted the urban space to the needs of inland waterways, which is evident at the first glance. Unfortunately, pragmatism of merchants is apparently not conducive to love ecstasy, since Bruges is called the Venice of the North, and Venice is not called the Bruges of the South.
