Dormition Cathedral in Vladimir (Russia) online puzzle

Dormition Cathedral in Vladimir was built between the years 1158-1160 by artists brought from the area of present-day Germany and France. The founders of the temple wanted to show that the architecture of the Grand Duchy of Vladimir did not have to refer to the Kiev designs. Unfortunately, the temple was heavily damaged in a fire in 1185 and the workers who were rebuilding it made the temple similar to the cathedral in Kiev. Four domes surrounding the existing central dome were built on the builders’ initiative. The cathedral became a model for the Dormition Cathedral in the Kremlin.
