New Abbots’ Palace in Gdansk (Poland) online puzzle
The historic Oliva Park named after Adam Mickiewicz is situated in one of the quarters of Gdańsk, which is also called Oliva. The Oliva Steam flows through it and the park itself covers the area of over 10 hectares. In the past the area of the park belonged to the garden of the Cistercian Abbey. Apart from the botanical part this magnificent park has its own palm house. The International Mozart Festival Mozartiana has been organized on the area of the park since 2006. It is also worth visiting the 18th-century Baroque Abbot’s Granary (Polish: Spichlerz Opacki), in which visitors may admire the exhibition of the folk art. The most representative building of the park – the New Abbots’ Palace (Polish: Nowy Pałac Opacki) – hosts the Department of Modern Art of the Polish National Museum in Gdańsk. In front of the edifice there is a fountain.
