Old buildings in Piobbico (Italy) online puzzle
Piobicco is an Italian town located in the region of Marche. The town was ruled for about 800 years by the family of Brancaleoni. The Brancaleoni Castle (Italian: Castello dei Brancaleoni) built in the 13th century is the most important historic building of the town, the castle was reconstructed in the 16th century. At the beginning of the 11th century some buildings were erected, which survived until the present day, e.g. Santa Maria in Val d'Abisso, the oldest church in Piobbico. There are also some other important temples, among them the church of Saint Antonio – rebuilt in the 18th century, church of Saint Peter and the baroque church of Saint Stephen, in which there is a precious altar painted by Federico Barocci.
