Kalisz (Latin: Calisia) is the oldest Polish city located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. The Market Square in Kalisz is in the shape of trapezium, surrounded by old brightly-colored tenement houses. Their bright pastel colors nicely go together with majestic dark-orange roofs. Historic center of the city is vibrant thanks to shops, cafes and beer gardens that can be found there, but also due to the flower composition situated on the green island in the very heart of the Kalisz Marker. The neoclassical town hall is the most important edifice that can be seen there.
