Saint-Tropez is a small 19th century town in France, located on the French Riviera. The town has been a fashionable place for summer relaxation and it is popular among artists, millionaires and celebrities, but above all among countless tourists who are not even bothered by extremely high prices. There is a harbor in Saint-Tropes as well as beautiful beaches which makes outdoor summer relaxation more attractive. Tourists may sunbathe and do water sports. It is hard to believe but in the past Saint-Tropez used to be a small fishing village. Sunny and charming Saint-Tropez became a favorite place of painters such as Paul Signac, Albert Marquet or Henri Matisse as early as in the 19th century. All of them were inspired by the local landscapes. Famous inspector Ludovic Cruchot, the main characted of the film titled Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez, came from Saint-Tropez as well.
