Minneapolis is the largest city in the state of Minnesota and is located on the river Mississippi. Together with Saint Paul, which is the capital of the state, Minneapolis is a part of a large agglomeration called the Twin Cities. The name of the city literally meant “the city of water” and in fact there are numerous lakes near Minneapolis. There are also numerous skyscrapers in Minneapolis, some buildings are over 200 meters high. Impressive office blocks are characteristic for the city and they have become the center of trade, business and new technologies.
