Courtyard of Alhambra fortress (Spain) online puzzle
The Alhambra fortress in Granada belonged to Mauritanian caliphs. Its name comes from Arabic and means “red”. It was built in 13th century and in the next century it was expanded. It is a palace with a few courtyards. It had been conquered by the Spaniards towards the end of 15th century and then it was used as a prison for almost four centuries. The fortress one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
