Fortification in Toledo (Spain) online puzzle
Alcazar in Toledo was built on rocks. There is a beautiful view on the panorama of the whole city from the fortification. In the 3rd century the Alcazar played a role of a Roman palace. The fortification underwent the largest modification in 1535 during the reign of Carlos I, who commissioned the reconstruction to the architect Alonso de Covarrubias. The building’s façade is divided into three levels, and the building itself is situated around the courtyard of a rectangular shape with two classic arches based on columns. Today the Alcazar hosts the Museum of the Army.
