Grand Canal in Venice (Italy) online puzzle
The Grande Canal, which is also called Canalazzo, is undoubtedly the largest and the most important water route of Venice. The shape of the Grand Canal reminds the letter S that is upside down. The canal cuts Venice into two parts, which are connected by three bridges: Ponte del'Accademia, Ponte di Rialto and Ponte degli Scalzi. There are 45 smaller canals coming from the Canalazzo, which are called “rio”. The Grande Canal is about 4 km long, 30-70 m wide and is 5 m deep. On both sides of the canal, there are marble palaces built in the Renaissance, Baroque and Venetian Gothic styles. The Grand Canal in Venice is a great tourist attraction, which attracts plenty of tourists.
