The Arkadia Reservoir is a picturesquely located artificial water reservoir, fed by the waters of the Czarna Hańcza River. It was created at the beginning of the 18th century as a pond feeding a water mill that served the needs of Suwałki's townspeople. There is a charming island in the middle of the reservoir. The reservoir is filled with clean water, which is an excellent living space for many species of aquatic and semi-aquatic animals, both in summer and winter. Mallard ducks, gulls, coots and swans can be observed here. In its current shape, the water reservoir has a total area of approximately 13 ha.
