Despite the fact that the picture looks as if it had been taken far away from the people’s settlements, it turns out that the Lanikai beach depicted in it is the part of Honolulu – the capital of Hawaii. The beach, which is located in the windless part of the island of Oahu, is only 500 m long, however, it attracts countless tourists every year. It is probably due to the fact that there is no infrastructure typical for such places (there are no car parks or showers), and for that reason it makes the impression of wild and inaccessible.
