Sugarloaf Mountain (Brazil) online puzzle
Sugarloaf Mountain is 396 meters high and is one of a few hills rising directly from waters of the Guanabara Bay near Rio de Janeiro. The hill owes its name to the Portuguese colonists, who arrived to the territories of present-day Brazil in 16th century, in the period when sugarcane trading was flourishing. The colonists transported sugar in conical lumps. They associated this form with the characteristic shape of the hill. It is possible to climb the Sugarloaf Mountain through one of over 270 climbing routes or get to the top with the use of an aerial tramway.
