Barcelona is a large Spanish city, located near the border with France, on the Mediterranean Sea. The settlement in this place was founded by the Phoenicians in the 3rd century BC. Warm climate, nine city beaches, parks and dozens of stunning monuments from different eras, as well as hotel, leisure and cultural facilities make Barcelona attractive for tourists from all over Europe. Port Vell, or Old Port, is the place that always bustles with life as it is the shopping and entertainment center of the city. There is also a yacht marina. Visitors can find there plenty of shops, restaurants, a huge aquarium, a statue of Christopher Columbus and La Rambla boulevard.
