Statue of Adalbert Stifter in Linz (Austria) online puzzle
The representative of Biedermeier movement in literature, Adalbert Stifter, was a valued Austrian writer and teacher. He was born in the Czech Republic, however, he spent the last twenty years of his life in Linz. The city honored him with a statue depicting the figure of an author sitting on a granite rock from the Czech Republic. Beside Adalbert Stifter, who is leaning slightly against the stone, lies his coat. The impressive bronze figure was designed by Johann Rathausky. The statue can be admired in the city park in Linz, picturesquely located between the Renaissance manor house and the promenade running on the site of the former fortifications.
