Toompea Cathedral Hill in Tallinn (Estonia) online puzzle
Toompea is a small hill in the capital of Estonia, Tallinn. Although it rises only 30 meters above the neighborhood, it can be considered as the most important place in the country. According to Estonian mythology, Toompea is a burial mound over the grave of Kalev, the forefather of all Estonians and Finns and one of the most important figures of the Balto-Finnish pantheon. His name is still synonymous with power and strength in Estonian. On the hill there are picturesque historical buildings, including the Toompea Castle, which houses the Estonian Parliament as well as the government. Therefore, this place can be considered a symbol of the Estonian statehood as a center of power since the mythical times.
