Colorful facades of houses in Porto Venere (Italy) online puzzle
Porto Venere is a town in the Italian region of Liguria. It has become a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the towns belonging to the Cinque Terre. In Porto Venere there are old churches (including the Gothic St. Peter’s Church) as well as narrow, atmospheric streets with traditional buildings and steep roads, which are typical for that part of Italy. The charming coast with the yacht marina and intimate beach are still the biggest attractions of the town. The characteristic buildings are also noteworthy. Porto Venere is located on a cliff and residential buildings literally hang from the rocks above the bay. Tenement houses are painted in different colors and make up almost a fabulous panorama of the town full of rows of narrow rectangles.
