Wooden palace in Kolomenskoye (Russia) online puzzle
Kolomenskoye is the former seat of the Russian tsars and princes, formerly it was a separate village but now it is located on the outskirts of Moscow. It is a palace-museum complex and a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the unique nature of the architectural monuments there. A large wooden palace, built by order of Tsar Alexei I in the 17th century is the most famous one. The building used to house 250 rooms interconnected through the maze of corridors and since the beginning of its existence it was considered to be the eighth wonder of the world. The palace declined during the reign of Catherine II and was demolished at her command. The current edifice is a precise reconstruction, which was completed in 2010.
