Wooden chapel in the Chochołowska Valley (Poland) online puzzle
Chochołowska Valley is located in the Polish part of the Tatra mountains, the mountain range in the Carpathian Mountains. The Chochołowska Valley is one of the most beautiful places in that part of Poland. There is a charming wooden chapel of St. John the Baptist on the edge of the valley, just before the spruce forest. The building bears the features of the highland style: a steep roof made of black shingles and walls of unpainted timber. The chapel was built for the needs of the cult Polish TV series titled “Janosik”, in the course of time the chapel was consecrated and until the present day masses have been celebrated there during summer. Nowadays the chapel is a tourist attraction of the Chochołowska Valley, and for that reason a hard surfaced road was built, and hikers may take a rest on benches situated in front of the temple’s entrance. Many couples choose to get married there.
