Traditional Norwegian house against the background of a waterfall (Norway) online puzzle
Norway has a sea climate and its people have been fishing for centuries. Traditional wooden fishermen houses are a characteristic feature of the Norwegian landscape. Their walls are intensely red and contrast with white window shutters, doors or roof edges. The houses used to be built on poles, just by the coastline. Today the architecture of some of the Norwegian buildings refers to the traditional seasonal Rorbu style – also for the needs of tourists. Such houses are characteristic for the Lofoten archipelago as well. The houses look beautifully if they are surrounded by wild coastal nature. Apart from the famous fiords Norway may boast stunning waterfalls. Vøringsfossen and Langfossen are the largest and best known.
